This Taurus New Moon occurs on Monday 18th May 2015 at 4.13 am GMT bestowing us with a beautiful Venus trine Neptune this weekend though, especially on Saturday, inviting us to experience the higher realms of consciousness. Mercury is also turning retrograde on 19th May at 13 degrees Gemini, making a conjunction to the Sun on 30th May and then turning direct on 11th June at 4 degrees Gemini.
Mercury retrograde would prefer us to ask questions rather than find answers, so get a sense of what is being asked of you at this time. Bear in mind also that most of the decisions we struggle with, or feel pressured to make, are actually not necessary, and often also not even possible during Mercury retrograde and so it’s a time for patience. Problems are not just here to be solved, but unfolded and explored. This is the time to give yourself a rest from making decisions.
Mercury in Gemini can be particularly indecisive, being the dual sign, but it’s good for talking through problems. Of course also watch for computers crashing, losing your mobile, letters not arriving, being given the wrong information – double, triple check and don’t take people at face value when things sound so easy – it’s likely it won’t be or you will be given the wrong information. Also avoid jumping to conclusions too, you might need to eat humble pie later down the line. I will write about the Sun Mercury conjunction in the next post.
While Mercury isn’t officially retrograde until 19th May, we tend to experience Mercury retrograde issues for some time beforehand, this time from 4th May, which is when Mercury entered his shadow phase. For this reason, and because of our lovely Venus Neptune trine just before this new moon on Saturday, we have the perfect day and possibly few days to connect with higher realms of consciousness, through inviting the silence and stillness that all this astrology encourages. Higher dimension connection requires a shift in how we experience time and space, in other words, it is our orientation to life that changes when we access higher realms.
While Venus rules the five senses, our embodied biological reality, which is anchored in the third and forth dimensionality of our world. Neptune, on the other hand, is the higher octave of Venus and highlights that which is beyond time and space. While our bodies are finely attuned to physical reality and rightly so as we need to navigate this physical world, our existence also requires us to navigate our orientation to space and our perception of time too
Higher, fifth dimensional consciousness, represented by Neptune, with it’s fluid, watery dissolving essence, is not bound by time or space constraints. It operates outside of these limitations. It’s unaffected by gravitational fields, mass or physicality.
But as most of us are deeply pushed and pulled by time and space – we operate and give our power up to these influences rather than venture to see ourselves as being able to manipulate and create for ourselves the time and space we need.
When we function at a higher level of consciousness, we are no longer at the mercy of time and space, we operate in a more fluid reality, we are more in alignment with the Tao – flowing with the natural way of things. This is why I suggest to most of my clients to take up Tai chi or Qi gong – as it supports your body and mind to feel and experience this flow in a very literal sense. Until you experience it, you don’t know when you are in the flow or out of it.
So identifying with just our biological reality clearly keeps us trapped in duality. But it’s just as important to not identify entirely with the fifth dimension or higher realms of consciousness lest we get stuck there. We need to learn to move fluidly between these worlds. Space and time are intimately related – large objects with mass generate gravitational fields, which alter both space and time.
In the fifth dimension, we have form but not physicality per se. This means that when we enter the fifth dimension we still experience life with a form and solids are still perceived as objects as in the third dimension of consensus reality. In fact even more so, as in my own experience, when occupying higher levels of consciousness depth perception of our world is enhanced and everything actually looks more ‘real’ – a kind of oxymoron.
The key difference though, that’s most easily discernible, is that our experience of space and time becomes much more fluid, and time as a reference point ceases to exist. This can bring a whole host of a different set of problems to bear – so while we don’t have the same challenges that we had before, we do encounter another, brand new set. But then the opportunities are different too, we have greater dimensional communication and more instant abundance and we experience more joy and empowerment in our lives.
Yet the most important thing is the fluidity and navigation between these multiple realities, being here and there at the same time can be challenging. Knowing we exist at all these different levels requires a lot of inner negotiation and awareness – otherwise we can go literally mad. Accessing higher dimensional realities without having a huge amount of awareness is not advised. We need the wisdom that expanded awareness brings too, so if we get stuck attached or identified with one dimension or another, we can find our way home.
We hit perceptual differences when working with different levels of reality. With time and space suspended or expanded, its easy to feel like you are losing your mind when you entering into higher or fifth dimensional consciousness. Perception being more fluid and experiencing life more as a process rather than state, time becomes a series of stepping stones that you jump between without pausing.
Often we are also able to stand outside our own life and sometimes this disconnects us from the realities and demands of consensus reality – creating both relief or suffering, depending on your perception. Difficult situations begin to appear differently to us in the fifth dimension, as we are less bound by circumstances and have more inner freedom to form creative solutions.
Our personal identity changes too, we are now not just individualised human beings, living isolated lives, polarised. We feel others as if they were us. Feelings are very important to higher levels of consciousness since we can say what we think at any given time, but most of us struggle to isolate how we feel in any given moment.
On a collective scale we are being asked to live both in the consensus reality of the third and forth dimension, while also accessing the fifth dimension, where time and space do not exist. But until most of humanity wakes out of their slumber, those who are actually navigating these different spheres of existence are doing so sometimes alone. Sometimes they are also marginalised by society too and told they are crazy.
Humanity, from the higher octaves of existence, needs to move to an existence where we are no longer in living opposition and neither in a way (with Neptune’s influence) are we also just a pool of interacting parts. It’s more accurate to say that we need to see now that we are, in the quantum world at least, participating in a sea of commonality which we all create and impact all the time at different levels.
This is Neptune, and this is so relevant at this new moon with Venus in a close square to humanity’s Libra North Node, lighting the way of where we need to go on a collective level – its essentially far more about us working together. This ‘working together’ needs to be born now from a different place, a Neptunian world, rather than the outworn idea that parts interact with parts. For us to understand this, we need to practise and train ourselves to access higher levels of consciousness, it’s something we need to do over and over again until we can comfortably move into that existence in a split second. This weekend’s a good time to start.
