We have a Capricorn Full Moon on 10 July 2025 at 11.37 BST. It invites a quieter kind of reflection—on what’s working, what’s falling away, and where your energy actually wants to go now. It has a gentle yet firm tone to it.
All Full Moons bring things to the surface, quite often with a dose of drama. But this one moves away from drama and into the steady truths that tend to reveal themselves when we’ve had enough time, and enough space, to see them clearly.
Capricorn is associated with structure—how we organise our lives, what we commit to, and what we keep carrying long after it’s stopped being necessary. This Full Moon holds up a mirror to all of that. The question isn’t whether you’ve done enough, but whether what you’ve built still matches who you are now.
The Sun in Cancer wants us to feel safe and connected to our bodies and deeper truth, and the Moon in Capricorn keeps us composed, holding things together. Combined, they bring up the tension between softening to be in contact with ourselves and holding the transjectory of our lives and goals.
You may find yourself trying to manage both. It can feel like a juggling act, or a pressure cooker—tending to many different levels while holding everything together with limited resources. If you have felt stretched, this Full Moon will make it more obvious, and help provide some solutions.
There’s also a larger pattern unfolding in the background, as Saturn inches towards a conjunction with Neptune in Aries. Saturn brings weight and discipline; Neptune brings vision and dissolution. As they move closer together, the usual boundaries soften, and our certainty starts to shift into something less sure.
While things that once felt stable may then feel unclear or vague, conversely what was unclear may now feel strangely right. Under these conditions, we are being challenged to respond from a different place, especially not the usual linear way of viewing life.
These sorts of shifts signal a deeper reorientation that happens when your inner system begins to realign before the outer world catches up.
Mars in Virgo forms a supportive aspect to this Moon, offering much needed focus and precision. There’s energy here to get very clear things, dot the i and cross the ts, tidy things up—habits, plans, expectations, shift anything that no longer works but has stayed in place out of routine. Use this to move a few things back into integrity.
Mars also moves toward the South Node, activating a review of old patterns around service, over-functioning, or hyper-efficiency. You might see more clearly where effort has turned into something else, like obligation or martyrdom, and where that’s beginning have an impact.
Essentially we are being reminded that small, serious, honest changes now will save you from carrying unnecessary burdens later. Then when Mars meets the South Node on 21 July, there’s an opportunity to step out of an old loop entirely.
Later on the day of the Full Moon, the Moon is void-of-course, reflecting a pause in outer clarity, and a time when things slow down or go a little flat.
Uranus has recently entered Gemini, beginning a longer chapter around communication, learning, and how we share information. It’s a restless energy, full of both disruption and invention, as it brings more speed to the way thoughts, ideas, and conversations move.
A lot is going on, so much fundamental, possibly even positive changes are taking root and shape more fully now, and yet we might feel scattered, more easily distracted, or just flooded with input. This energy, when anchored, is supportive, but without some form of grounding, it becomes difficult for the nervous system to manage and so accentuating or exacerbating current issues.
The tri-yearly Mercury retrograde, stations in Leo on 17 July. It pulls our focus toward a deeper understanding of our expression, visibility, and whether words match truth. This is not a time to push for clarity, as this retrograde brings us back to what’s real underneath all the stories we tell ourselves – and there are many of those running our lives.
Regardless, it’s a good time to speak less, listen more, and check whether what you’re saying reflects where you are now—as opposed to who you were last month. Conversations will benefit greatly from more honesty.
Venus’ sojourn through Gemini adds movement and curiosity to our relationships. You may feel pulled toward variety, new ideas, or more space to explore. Stay open, but also stay anchored in the kind of connections that nourish you beyond the surface.
More than anything this Full Moon brings a clear spotlight to how effort has been used. You may realise you’ve been doing too much, pushing things forward, for too long, for reasons that no longer hold. While that awareness can feel heavy, but it also offers relief and a realisation that things need to change.
Capricorn energy tends to endure. But when endurance becomes the only strategy, something gets lost. This Moon helps you feel where that might be happening, and gives you a chance to course-correct.
In a similar vein, in relationships this is a time to assess how responsibilities are shared. If there is imbalance or an old agreement no longer feels fair, the stage is set for honest conversations. Hopefully these will strengthen the foundations of our lives.
Cancer season always brings tenderness and sensitivity into the picture, it’s likely that some things have come to a close, and with this a tiredness can set in or we feel the need to withdraw and contemplate what that means for us. A cue to slow down and give your body rest so it can fully register what’s changing.
This is also a good time to simplify. Look at what’s on your list of things to do, and ask whether it still needs to be there. Focus on what’s alive for you, right now—not just what’s expected of you.
In the wider world, things continue to shift dramatically. Systems and work that once felt permanent are showing signs of breakdown, and many people are choosing to step outside of familiar roles and take a different path. This will all be at different points for us, but for many it is either here or coming. A collective reorientation and realignment.
Sovereignty now means paying attention to what’s real for you, that means what’s right and sustainable, not what rules you have lived your life by up unto this point. The great shift here, that you might be able to perceive, is that inner alignment is finally beginning to carry more weight than outer alignment.
Our sense of clarity or orientation ultimately arrives through the body—the moment something tense relaxes, or the way a truth lands when you hear yourself speak it aloud, it just feels the right choice. Even if it makes less or little sense to the head.
So when things do feel unclear, slow down and let time play it’s part. You don’t need to have everything resolved in one conversation or one decision. It’s step by step. Sometimes it’s an idea that just drops in that changes everything. Perhaps even something that felt intractable, impossible, and then suddenly it’s there and it changes everything.
It can be as simple as changing around something in your home so it works for you and allows then something else in fall into place, something that hadn’t felt right before just falls into place. These small or larger actions help bring us back into a forward momentum and out of stalemate.
Sovereignty isn’t about getting it perfect, there’s no such thing anyway. It’s about responding from yourself rather than reacting to someone else. You know when you’re there because your choices feel settled, even when they’re uncomfortable to make. This Moon brings attention to integrity and alignment between your actions, your needs, and what matters to you now.
Let the days after this Full Moon be slow and steady. Let them show you what’s ready to be released, and what’s asking for more space. This is especially the case since Saturn begins his retrograde on 13 July and Mercury shortly after on 17 July. Both offer a period of time where reviewing matters becomes core.
Let this Full Moon be a time to shift direction towards more growth, freedom and spaciousness.
