The Moon is Full in Pisces at 7.03 am on 6th September 2017 at 13 degrees. The outward thrust of Summer is beginning to slow down & we are preparing for harvest. We also soon have the equinox & our days will soon begin to get shorter & our nights longer, a drawing in period.
The main events, other than the Full Moon in Pisces, are Mercury stationing direct on the same degree point as the eclipse – 29 degrees Lep. Additionally Mars is on that same degree point at the same time as this Full Moon. The planetary energy is soon to enter Virgo, after a lotta Leo. One more Full Moon fact is that this Full Moon is also conjunct Neptune.
Mars meeting Mercury lends for a lot of intensity, a lot of communication, movement, action & thought. With Mercury conjunct Mars there’s heated exchanges & it might bring out the dogmatic side of folks. While traditionally Mercury stationing direct brings out what’s been elusive or hidden from us, the truth becomes known as it were, this Moon is a little more elusive and confusing than most.
That’s due to a lot of Neptune energy tied in with this Pisces Full Moon. This Full Moon might feel like being in fog, nothing clear, no idea where you are going, where you are, even who you are. We are merging into the soup of Oneness and don’t quite feel comfortable with it. You get the picture.
So what do you do at these times? Well, nothing strictly. You don’t ‘do’ anything, since you are not really connected into what you should be doing. Intuition, instinct, signs can easily be misinterpreted as fact, truth, reality, when it’s still just a time to sit & wait. On top of that, this Moon is conjunct Neptune in Pisces – that’s a lot of Neptunian energy since Neptune also rules Pisces.
What you can do is not do anything. Or rather connect with your being, connect with your inner centre. Slow down, go inwards, meditate, take time for practises, even swimming would be a perfect thing now, let yourself dream, explore your creativity. Just don’t try move house, or buy a car.
Since we have a Virgo Sun, some discernment is about, allowing an access to saying no to things, and that might be a useful approach. Picking up the Virgo antidote might support us to bide our time or get the facts straight, or at least not be pushed into making choices when you don’t know what you are choosing. The details are somewhat obscured & it’s best to sit & wait on things for at least a few days.
When Mercury is at this peak stage – about to turn direct – it’s not a time to get form agreements, unless others are coming to you & the pressure is well and truly off, or you really have no choice, then you can assume there’s a deeper better alignment for making the decision and the fact Mercury is retrograde doesn’t really matter. Remember the caveat here is that Mercury retrograde does not automatically prohibit decisions because they will not work out for you or get reversed, (that’s the popular press).
It’s more that our decisions are generally taken more in haste & for that reason, they don’t work out. Making decisions & doing stuff without going slow or connecting inwards doesn’t bode well. So feel free to make decisions & commitments if you have been mulling over something for some time & if you have a good sense of what you are deciding, but hold off for at least for that Moon to be out of Pisces. Better still, wait for it to be in Taurus. I can see this energy playing out in my writing – let me be clearer – listen to your internal guidance and if you can’t work out what’s right, don’t do anything – there’s the short of it.
This is also a time of openness & sensitivity. We can easily absorb others emotions, by osmosis & make it about us. Keep those Virgo boundaries if need be & say no, both out loud when needed & energetically internally. Stay clear of what you know isn’t good for you, you’ll absorb it deeper and with the change of seasons at our doorstep and the drop in temperatures, we are a lot more susceptible to colds and illness. These few days make us quite vulnerable on that physical and emotional level.
The other thing to watch out for is people, & indeed yourself, thinking you are right. There’s a lot of it about. It is intensified with a Mars Mercury – a sense of certainty & separateness that defends itself dogmatically & refuses to listen to other views. It’s good to engage with others & their opinions, lest we just keep our head low. Staying out of hot water never served anyone, we need to engage with others to work out differences & define who we are and what we think, through the powerful tool of listening. Just be aware of the tendency towards preaching & getting worked up about things. Time is too precious to be wasted on ego right now.
